Back Home Again. . . .

If at all possible, please try to go on a couple day road trip with your adult son or daughter! It is the most fun possible to reconnect and talk and think about the future, the present, and the way the two of you perceived the past..  On day two my son and I covered the lower portions of Illinois and Indiana...

The road seemed full of courteous motorists, and we snapped a few pics from the car...
Rivers, lakes.....
And the deep blue-green haze of the Wabash....  The Hoosier National Forest was cool and inviting....
Along about here we slowed our car to watch a deer and her spotted fawn flee across the highway.  The baby's hooves were unsteady and slick...  He seemed to be screaming for his mama to wait up.....
Our cuisine was the road trip fine dining of Wendy's, White Castle, and McDonald's....  with the best company in the world, it was fare for the gods!
By nightfall we reached our destination....  but that is tomorrow's post!

Time spent in the car with our offspring often bears wonderful conversation. So glad you enjoyed yours! Looks like the weather cooperated well for you.
