By Dawn's Early Light
I haven't been to sleep yet. Still resisting after a late nap yesterday complete with nightmares of dinnerplate spiders. Some very Shady people refused to kill them, and I was screaming and begging, offering up to 20 percent extra points to all their offspring in my future English classes! (I guess I ain't cheap, but I can be had!)

I finally finished two more junk journals. WINTER SECRETS
NEXT UP WILL BE MY STRAWBERRY LOVE
for Valentine's Day.
Made some Winter Vegetable Soup and Razzleberry Pie. Yes, I admit the pie credit belongs to Marie Callender. So good.
Brown 1 1/2 # hamburger.
Add 1 box chicken or beef broth, 1 medium pkg. frozen vegetables, 1 bag hash browns, 1 # white Velveeta, 1 pkg. cream cheese, 1 pkg. Ranch seasoning mix, 1 small tub sour cream, 1 can cream of mushroom soup, and ground pepper.
Cook on low until cheeses melt and soup is hot and cozy.
Too easy!
(Not that I pray to ancestors, but I like the idea of my grandmothers having my back! Look out, Everybody!)
The sky is brilliant red and lavender this morning. I guess the planets aligned last night. I didn't go out to look, to my shame. I just forgot!

You cannot know how glad I am to see you here, after such a long snow-in in our lives! I've thought of you so often, sought out O&W for long-ago moments and scenes and memories, and immersed myself at least every month in your homespun red kitchen and your fabulous words and thoughts.
Just stepped in to close down the systems and the house before bed, and such a glorious surprise! I looked in vain in my e-mail to see if we'd corresponded that way, but missed out. So if you'd care to share, I'd love to hear from you there. ganjin042@gmail.com That's a zero in there.
I thoroughly know about measuring out time BEFORE, and the slow pace of After, and have been thinking of you often, and wishing you well. I'm smiling at the thought of your return, and hope to hear again from you soon---on any subject, in any tone, humor, mood or need. Especially the last---soft ganjin shoulders and a heart that welcomes you. Sweet dreams, faraway friend.
