Time Stamp

My days and nights are skewed....I've always been a night owl, but now I do get up early and make coffee and be civil (huge effort)... lol. My son usually finishes his night's sleep on the couch or in his recliner that he can no longer recline in... it hurts his calves! Mine does, too. In this house we have zero comfy chairs or beds. My bed is a lumpy, broken pit of a  travesty to all beds everywhere, and his is hard as a rock! Our couch is a swap shop built with steel frame in 1983.. To say they don't make them like that anymore is an understatement!

Anyway... I decided I was exhausted and kind of miserable, so I went to bed at 7. The sun was still shining! I slept like a bear! Now since midnight? (It's 2:30) not so much sleepy...

My son bought me this tea infuser. The inside doesn't tilt, but the bottom does... wicked cool...
Callie decided to nap on top of my son who decided to nap at lunch... she was kind of militant about it, and it shows!..... grump!

So tell me about your sleep schedules... mine needs a revamp! We're having 27° temps right now... Today the wind was fierce.  Storms and rain heading in for the later week. I am chill with all that.

To sleep. Perchance to dream...

Callie is so beautiful, and the tea infuser is pretty! We have been night owls for many years, and have the same sleep schedule all the time. Not really a schedule, we just go to bed and get up whenever we want. My thoughts about your problem are this. First, has anything changed, either situations or different foods? There must be a reason for you sleep pattern changing. Maybe finding out the cause can help with a solution. Keep us posted!

Love the tea infuser!

I would rather stay up all night and sleep until noon, but currently I am required to get up by 6:30 and prepare breakfast for school bus riding grandchildren, toddler grandchildren and a grumpy old man. I still do sit up (often until about 1 am) so it makes life hard. Saturday or Sunday I crash, as well as usually one week night when I doze off by 6pm, only to wake up at midnight. One of these days I hope to set my own schedule, LOL.

Long story. Several years ago our neighborhood suffered a tragic fire. We made an appointment with our insurance agent to clarify our policy and she informed us that the policies now don't cover much cash in the home (basically the amount usually in my purse). I used to have a system of envelopes of currency in my sock drawer which I transferred to sub savings accounts at my bank. My husband had a 25 plus year collection of coffee cans filled with spare change under our bed. I put my foot down, he went through them and we cashed in most of them. We ended up with enough money to have a new bedroom set made by the Amish and ordered brand new mattress and springs. Let me tell you, it is still the most comfortable mattress ever (it's a pillow top) and I look forward to snuggling in. Visit a mattress store, look at the mattresses - try out a mattress! and get a new mattress. You will not regret it.

I go to bed waaaay too late. As in 2 or 3 in the morning. I'm up by 10, so not too bad but I would love to change my hours to going to bed at 1 and up by 9. It's not going to happen though and I know it. I'm not even sleepy at 1. I've always been a night owl, but the older I get, the later I go to bed. I always thought the older you get, the earlier you go to bed. Not in my case. LOL
Gayla WHY don't you insist on comfy beds and a comfy chair? I would be nothing without these things. In 2016 when we did many updates in our house, including buying some new furniture, we got rid of most of our nearly-30-year-old bedroom set and mattress (I put the dresser and bedside tables upstairs), and I "built" our king-size bed from the floor up, from Amazon. It's a steel frame, memory foam mattress, and two or three things on top of that mattress to make it feel like a cloud. (There is no headboard; I have n antique door hanging over the bed. But you can affix your antique headboard to the wall, and set the bed in front of it.) I then did the same thing in our guest room in queen size, but with a cheaper but no less comfortable memory foam mattress. That entire bed (less all bedding) cost $550 total on Amazon, and they still have all of the components. My guests tell me that they sleep better in that room, on that bed, than they do at home. I just insist on a comfortable bed! TG bought me a new chair-and-a-half recliner from Big Lots of all places (I picked it out after lots of shopping) for less than $400, and that's where I do the majority of my sitting with my pets. It's wider than a regular chair and very comfortable, all the way down to the feet. I probably spend too much time there but who cares, haaha! If you want all of the particulars of my $550 ultra-comfy guest bed, just let me know! You and son should each have one so that you won't dread going to bed. TG and I are night owls; we generally sleep from midnight or one, until about eight or eight thirty unless we have to get up and go somewhere, like on Sunday for church. We love our sleep, haahaha xoxo
