Basic Whimsy 101

What does a person require in this world but something to do, somewhere to live, and someone to love? In that department, then... I'm rich beyond measure. Everywhere I look lie tasks, projects, chores, work..work...work... Not really my work, but something to do, nonetheless.

I have a place to live. My day bed in the dining room window gives me full access to my moon in the mornings. I can watch swift rains swoop over the prairie, ropy waves of spring storms, flickering lightning. It's fine.
And oh, how I love the family, friends, blog sisters, and dear ones in my life. I guess I'm set!
And yet...

Old restless gypsy spring invades my spirit. I see myself riding in a painted wagon, bracelets chiming, wind in my hair, ponies with ribbons streaming from their manes. I think I'd want spices and luscious oils in my cart. Can you imagine the air in spring combined with secret essences mined from nature's treasures? I'd want a cat, but a dog might like the journey better and be more content... Ahhhhhhh...... Pooh... I'll just brew a hot cuppa and settle in for my favorite hour on TV... Hallmark's a Good Witch is only 76 minutes away...

It sounds like you have so much. Riches aren't money in the bank, being rich is being happy with what you have. Daydreaming just adds some spice to life! Hope you are doing well. I look forward to your posts.
Spring.... It can stir the gypsy in the soul...

But an hour, with Cassie and the other folks of "The Good Witch's" world, can be delightful too. :-)

But pooh, pooh, pooh... Only one more episode. Double though it may be. What will we do with our Saturdays, after next week???????

-sigh- It is so much fun, to anticipate "TGW"... all Sat. long. -sigh- Ahhhh, but you have them, from ITunes!!! You can re-watch them!!!!

And I have 5 of the original "GW" movies. ,-) All is not lost!!!! -grin-

(email coming...)

Lots of gentle hugs,
Tessa
OH!!! And a lovely new "April-y" Blog look here!!!!!

I always enjoy your posts so much...you are such a good writer...have a great way with words.
Just the word "gypsy" brings so many good things to my olden mind...
My mother and aunt always dressed me like a gypsy for Halloween...long, flowing skirt, bangles on my wrists and hoops on my ears...."rouge" on my cheeks and a bandana around my head. Wolf Man movies that always had a band of gypsies thru the movie...
and, one of my all-time favorite movies, GYPSY with Natalie Wood...

From one kindred gypsy heart to another....I know what you mean and I feel your spirit, Gayla. :) Kind of like the butterfly within us who begins to stir after a long, cold winter ready to take flight.
