Settling in...

It's difficult to run through the days and the nights, always searching for the upbeat and the life in the days. Holidays, even the little ones,  bring cause for celebration.  We enjoyed a China Garden lunch yesterday with my son and a friend to celebrate a belated Valentine's Day and an early Chinese New Year.
A fairly  heavy snow fell  through the night, and this morning my son woke up with some kind of cold or flu or asthma. ...  I hate it when he's ill. .. just hate it.
Here are some bright photos from the parties we had throughout the week.  I'll share a sunshine recipe for orange salad tomorrow. ..

My sister/cousin's beautiful sugar cookies, a gift from the heart!

A little brunch on Friday

A salad party last week!

My friend's delicious salad.

Another gift from my sister/cousin...

Have a safe and happy week.

Your parties are beautiful and the food looks scrumptious! I am glad you are able to find moments of happy times. I know you are doing so much. I hope your mother is feeling comfortable.

nothing like one of these winter's horrible colds/flu, to knock any joy, out of life. even for the ones, who aren't suffering from it, at the moment.

blahhhhhhh....

and who sezzzzzzzzz, our blogging has to happy, happy, happy, all the time??? that isn't even LIFE.

yes, I understand, people are reading blogs, for fun. so they don't want to _always_ read "downer" stuff.

but neither is it human, to always be hippity-happity. in fact, a blog which is ALWAYS hippity-happity, is kind of irritating.

makes the reader wonder what's wrong with them???? how come THEY are not ALWAYS hippity-happity???

and could make the reader feel pretty "down"... in contrast.

so, please don't feel you have to have lovely photos, and only bouncy words... to write a post.

just sayin'...
