Here is a recipe my beloved grandmother left me, many years ago. "Grape Nuts Pudding"
Butter 2 quart baking dish
Preheat oven to 400
Whisk 6 large eggs, 3/4 cups sugar, 1 teaspoon nutmeg, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, 1 teaspoon vanilla in a large bowl. Whisk in 4 cups of milk. Pour a thin layer of cereal into baking dish .. barely covering the bottom. Pour in the liquid mixture. Bake 30-40 minutes until mostly set but jiggly in the center. Serve with whipped cream.
Every time I make this dish, lovely memories come flooding back.
