Random Chills....

Cozy in...  We can feel the wind blasting the side of our house...  And temperatures will dip way, way, way below zero° in the next few days.  And in the midst of all this and the swirling snow I finally believe it's winter in Missouri.  I have ideas and plans, but so far no ambition or work to back up that creativity....

Goodbye for ten months to all our angels, Santas, nativities....  I wish I had it all packed and stashed as so many of you do, but we like to wait until the sixth of January for that.  (Could be an excuse!). But the days will come when Christmas and New Year is only a good, warm memory...  And it's on to bright pinks, red, and roses for Valentine's a Day!

Have a gentle, warm, safe weekend.  Please leave your unnecessary journeys on the ice until later and spend safe hours inside.  Even though I love, love, love Wintry days and dark, long nights, I respect the powers that lie inside the drifting chills.

I have always waited for the 6th too, Gayla, but this year I started today. I am just ready to be done with it this year. Happy Cold New Year- xo Diana

I leave it up until after Epiphany. This year it's coming down early. Sounds like many are ready to get on with the new year. Loved those pictures...so beautiful.

Glad your subject line of 'Random Chills' did not mean, you have been sick!!!!

Very cold here, also.

Not ready to pack Christmas all away yet here, either. A couple of indoor wreaths came down. But that's it. Until I get the urge. :-) I don't really have any set time, any more.

Stay warm and safe!

It is sweet of you to be worried about those in sub-sub-zero places... But I don't think we are quite that. NYS is getting a lot of unusually cold weather, but Canada must be really, really cold. Brrrr...

But then, I suppose they are used to it.

Stay warm.

All of my decorations are put away now. We are trying to stay warm with the frigid temps on the way.
