A Lovely Holiday Weekend...

American families are beautiful.  God has continued to bless this country in so many good ways.

Our family was lucky enough to be together twice, on Sunday and again on Monday.  Sunday night after they had gone home from our indoor picnic, my son and his family surprised my mom and me about nine o'clock  with a bright-eyed young man (above with sparkler) who could not wait to see the contents of his tightly-clutched paper bag go up in sparks, smoke and thunder.  We had a wonderful evening.  Monday was time for us to get together again for lunch and play a little game of Spinner.

Have a great week.  It's a shorter version, so that should help it fly by a bit better.  I spent the day in the laundry room with the accomplishment of a more organized space and a freshly laundered quilt drying...  Holiday was officially OVER!

Great mosaic, and yes, you know when the holiday is over when the laundry starts!
