Hello, Beautiful...

I try. I really do. I want all four seasons to feel the incredible gratitude and love I have for each of them. I am more than happy to have been the little girl of Midwestern parents because I have the gift of experiencing every one of the creator's beautiful patterns of climate and weather, growth and rest. But... I have not hidden the tiny fact that I LOVE Fall, Autumn, the Brisk Chill so very much.

So today I trod on Summer's heels just a bit, and the bins came out. To be fair, I certainly put out my reds, whites, and blues ---summer fare---- very early in May (way, way before the June Solstice)... So, as if anyone really cares (besides you, my dear friend Janet)... I did a bit of Autumn. I have a confession. For all my shooting off at the mouth about sorting and de-stashing, donating, "sharing the love," um... first two totes had nothing in them that I didn't think "sparked joy." I eliminated zero today...

Today was busy. Besides the Vibrant Vintage Fall, I entertained two dear friends. Tonight was my turn to "get supper," so we did Subway... Also in the next room my son had several coworkers over. His friends sometimes eat what I fix, but tonight was late notice so they just brought drive-through, and I had pink lemonade and peanut butter rice krispie treats.  (Yes, again.)

My new comforter came from Amazon. I just cannot use my good quilts for bedspreads because I really USE bedspreads... I lie down with dirty questionable feet, and then I have to wash the quilt...  I used some discounts I had saved... on Amazon... This quilt is very thin, but I actually like thin coverlets, and I don't want it to last forever...

The box arrived in just despicable shape. I feared the worst.

However, all was well. They had used that kind of bag that allows all the air to be vacuumed... so my quilt felt like a paver!!!

I fell in love with these shams..  Both grammas and my mom's memories whispered to me about how much I would enjoy this lace... Isn't it fun?

Have a great week... I captured the  blue hour and the moon through my backyard silhouettes of battered locust trees...

Whimsy and Hugs!

Is this a picture of you? I am glad to see you, you seem to radiate joy! Your comforter is lovely. And the color and pattern look like they will not show dirt! I love your tree! It is every bit as beautiful as a big fluffy one. Now I want one. It is the prettiest Fall tree I have ever seen. We have a cat though, and I don't know which one would get the worst of it!

I am fighting even thinking about Fall. It's not Fall that I dislike, but that dreadful white stuff that comes after it! Your Fall stuff is cute though.
I love the shams. The lace is gorgeous. And that pillow is so cute!
