Coming down the lane...

What could be prettier than a Midwestern farm at sunset... with snow on the ground? Gunmetal gray skies with a hint of blinding pink... blue tinged wells of snow, and a view from my car window... Beauty in the ordinary, practicing the presence of God.
Down the road looms the last of the town that used to harbor my one room school... Not much remains except windswept fields and a few homes along the way.
My fascination with the colors of sunset never fade.. If you ask me what color I want my room.... the colors of a cloudy sky at sunset in December.

Upstairs in my father's barn, his Christmas lights have been set aglow by his grandson.... yeah, the one who says he doesn't really like Christmas any more.... hmmmm..... How can he not?
Snow, blue and cool.... welcomes the eye, delights the sunset, and warms my heart... I snapped and snipped little shots of my drive from school today... Enjoy a midwestern first snow...

It is beautiful, Gayla! I can just picture the soft colors blending together to make a beautifully calm bedroom. So pretty!

No, nothing is prettier! I love the photos and enjoy the seasonal differences from my memory of being there this fall.
